I Never Cook

Until today I don't think I have ever spent more than 11 minutes preparing a meal.

After a quick trip to the grocery store I decided to take a stab at some Cuban Beans and Rice:

What I used:
- 1 Tablespoon of olive oil
- a cup of chopped onion
- 2 teaspoons of minced garlic
- A whole chopped up green pepper
- teaspoon of salt
- Tomato Paste (four spoonfulls)
- A cup of uncooked rice
- A can of kidney beans

What I did:
- Added the oil to the pan at medium heat. Added the onion, pepper and mixed that around for about ten minutes.
-Added salt and tomato paste, set to low heat and mixed it in well
-added beans and rice
-added bean juice plus water till pan filled up
-covered for 40 minutes

What I thought:
-It really could have used some more flavor to it, and the rice was a bit too sticky. Probably should have added some more pepper (a spicier type) and maybe let it heat for another 5-10 minutes
